“Knock Knock… I wonder what's behind this door?" Connor has a big obsession with doors! Come and join him on a poetic journey through his own door and life. Performing some of his poems and giving little stories along the way, he is going to prove his theory - that everyone is a miracle - and empower you through his own story and journey along the way.
Connor Allen is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist and former Children’s Laureate Wales (2021-2023).
He’s written for BBC Wales, BBC Radio 4, Wales Millennium Centre, and others. He wrote and performed in his acclaimed show The Making of a Monster and was the 2023 winner of the Imison Award for his debut audio drama of the same title. He has two debut poetry collections released, Dominoes, for adults and Miracles, for children. His work is inspired by elements of his own life
including grief, love, masculinity and identity.
Suitable for anyone age 7 or over. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join the National Poet of Wales for a writing workshop where together we explore all things dragon, and perhaps discover our own inner dragons along the way!
Suitable for children age 8-12. Must be accompanied by an adult. Please book places for children directly with the Library.

Have a go at illustrating a Cymraeg word or phrase - try out some of the media and techniques used by Joshua Morgan of Sketchy Welsh to make learning Cymraeg more meaningful.

This workshop is an intergenerational workshop (Suitable for anyone age 6+). Lead by artist Jodi Ann Nicholson (dance teacher at National Dance Company Wales and Nomah Youth Dance) Participants will be lead through a series of games and simple sequences that will develop movement skills though play, exploration and imagination - Come and move together!
Parents who don't want to buy a ticket and join in will need to stay on site during the workshop, please.
